0.3 Insert floor bitmaps

You need to insert a bitmap of each Ville Savoye floor in the model. The images will be used as guidelines to model the project. You can place them in different layers and at the corresponding elevation height. First of all, open the Layer dialog  and the Rhino Properties dialog box .

  1. Get all documents and floor plans from the following link.
  2. Create a new layer (i.e., P.F.0, P.F.1 and P.F.T) for each floor image.
  3. Insert the floor plan bitmaps of the Ville Savoye using the _PictureFrame command:   (available also from the Surface toolbar), and put them in the corresponding layer you have just created. Make sure the bitmaps have the same scale factor. (When inserting the picture frame, put the construction plane on the corresponding level, from the Level Manager).
  4. Select the 3 picture frames and use the _Scale2D command  to scale them at the same time. The distance among column axes is 5m, so take it as reference. (Or take the length of the bottom building side as 22,25 m)

Now you can show and hide every bitmap individually turning the corresponding layer On and Off.
