Kindergarten in Tallinn

The project is a kindergarten competition in Tallinn, Estonia.

The client was looking for a complete solution, which included a factory-made modular kindergarten for 240 children.

The competition schedule was very tight, which is why Rhino and VisualARQ were chosen. The Rhino allowed us to perform fast mass modeling during the concept phase, where we tested multiple options until we were satisfied with the result. From there on, it was very handy to use Rhino elements to convert these to VisualARQ elements.

With little effort, we had a fully functional model with areas, schedules, and other information. That input was important for the house factory to start calculating construction costs. During the process we changed some of the architectural features and after that we send an updated IFC file to the factory so they can update the final cost of the construction.

All pictures are rendered in D5.
