SIGraDi 2024 – Biodigital intelligent systems
Sigradi 2024, the XXVIII Conference of the Ibero-American Society of Digital Graphics will take place next 13-15 November in Barcelona. The week before the event (4-8 November), there will be some online workshops, including one for VisualARQ: “Parametric Architecture and Flexible BIM with VisualARQ for Rhino”.
SIGraDi 2024 centers on the integration of biodigital intelligent systems within architecture, design, and art, viewed from research, education, and professional angles. These systems, combining biology, digital technology, and AI, are inspired by natural processes and structures to develop adaptable, robust, and self-organizing solutions. Topics include bio-inspired robotics, computational neuroscience, and evolutionary algorithms. Through emulating biological mechanisms like self-repair and natural selection, biodigital systems exhibit advanced problem-solving abilities, aiming to reshape creative fields by introducing technologies inspired by living organisms. SIGraDi 2024 emphasizes this transformative approach, advancing a future defined by biodigital innovation.

VisualARQ online workshop
This workshop will introduce the main tools VisualARQ adds to Rhino for developing a
project of architecture inside Rhino, producing the 2D documentation drawings, and
delivering a BIM model for other AEC applications. The workshop will run with the recently released VisualARQ 3 version.
